MSD Cheer Dominates UCA Camp With Overall Championship, Camp Routine Title and 12 All-Americans

The Marjory Stoneman Douglas cheerleading team turned in an outstanding performance at UCA Cheer Camp, capturing the title of Overall Varsity Camp Champions while earning multiple team and individual honors.

The Eagles finished first in the X-Large Varsity Camp Routine and claimed the Stunt Sequence Award, while also placing second in the X-Large Varsity Cheer Routine. The team received both the Gold Superior Evaluation Ribbon and the Blue Excellence Evaluation Ribbon during the week.

MSD also had 12 All-Americans, three Pin It Forward recipients, and a Varsity Jump Off winner, highlighting the program’s depth and talent throughout the camp.

“It was an incredible camp, and we could not be prouder of our cheerleaders and coaching staff,” Head Coach Patti Thompson said.

The Eagles are coming off a strong season in which they won a District Championship, placed second at Regionals, and finished sixth at the State Championship. MSD also appeared at Nationals, placing third, while the Eagles’ JV Small Intermediate team delivered a remarkable run, advancing to the finals and finishing second in the nation.
