Parkland Pumpkin Patch {City of Parkland}
Visitors to the Parkland Pumpkin Patch this month will have the chance to pick up a seasonal favorite while supporting a meaningful cause.
A portion of pumpkin sales from Saturday, Oct. 18, through Thursday, Oct. 23, will benefit the Parkland 17 Memorial Foundation, a nonprofit organization working to create a permanent public memorial honoring the 17 lives lost in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas tragedy.
The pumpkin patch is located at the Equestrian Center, 8350 Ranch Road, and is open weekends from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and weekdays from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Pumpkin quantities are limited, prices vary, and purchases are cash only.
Families can walk through the patch, visit fall-themed photo spots, and enjoy a petting zoo. Opening weekend will feature food vendors, face painting, bounce houses, and seasonal treats.
Petting zoo hours are scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 18, and Sunday, Oct. 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Monday, Oct. 20, through Thursday, Oct. 23, from 5 to 7 p.m. Face painting will be available Oct. 18 and 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Donations to the memorial foundation can also be made online at parkland17.org/donate. The memorial will be located in a 150-acre nature preserve on the border of Parkland and Coral Springs.
