Marjory Stoneman Douglas’s boys and girls track and field team competed in the District Tournament on Friday, highlighted by wins from Elle Speas and Kyanne Meredith in the pole vault.
Marjory Stoneman Douglas track and field season is officially underway, with the Eagles competing against Coral Springs High School, Coral Springs Charter, and Coconut Creek High School.
On Tuesday, it was a historic day for the Marjory Stoneman Douglas track and field team, with 18 students qualifying for regionals in their meet at Coral Springs High School.
In one of their final tuneups before the Districts, the Coconut Creek High School boys and girls track and field team competed in the Blanche Ely Tri-Meet 4.
After dominating in both Districts and Regionals, the Marjory Stoneman Douglas track and field team had several players compete in the State Championship on Saturday at the University of North Florida.
With an incredible showing at the Regional Championship, the Marjory Stoneman Douglas boys and girls track and field won two events and finished in the top three in six events.
