Parkland’s Los Bocados Temporarily Shut Down Following Food and Health Code Inspections Reveal 3 Violations

A popular Parkland Mexican restaurant was ordered shut down after routine inspections found serious health code violations, including unkept sewage and wastewater.

Los Bocados, located at 7031 North State Road 7, was ordered to shut down on March 17 after three violations were found during a routine inspection by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation last week.

The restaurant was in violation of three separate health codes, including sewage/wastewater observed by an inspector backing up through floor drains and evidence of mop/cleaning wastewater being dumped onto the ground.

The violation involving unkept sewage water poses a severe health risk to the employees and customers of the restaurant. It violates the health codes that require proper disposal of sewage/wastewater, making it the most serious violation found. 

The report also notes that Los Bocados violated health codes during the inspection after evidence of mop/cleaning wastewater being dumped onto the ground outside the back door. 

An employee was observed dumping mop water from drains onto the ground, violating health codes that require proper disposal of wastewater.

After the violations were discovered, the operator of Los Bocados was immediately informed of the issues and was given instructions to correct the violations. 

The operator discussed the issue with the employee and implemented corrective actions to ensure that these issues are not repeated in the future. Los Bocados has now reopened.
