{Walk Off For Cancer}
Parkland native and former MLB star Anthony Rizzo is once again giving back, as the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation has launched its annual online charity auction to raise money for children and families in need.
Running through Aug. 2, the auction features a variety of exclusive items and once-in-a-lifetime experiences, including the opportunity to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Wrigley Field and other unique Cubs-related experiences.
All proceeds will benefit the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation, which supports children and families in need through cancer research, family assistance programs, and other charitable initiatives.
In addition to the auction, Rizzo’s charitable efforts continue with the inaugural W&W Foundation Youth Flag Football Tournament, set for Friday, Aug. 7, from 6-8:30 p.m. at Pine Trails Park in Parkland. The event, which is presented in partnership with the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation,
UFA Rescue and Little League Challenger, is open to boys and girls ages 9-12 and is expected to bring together more than 200 local children. Organizers are also seeking community sponsors, with proceeds benefiting local youth programs and charitable initiatives.
