The rainy season is over, and we are getting ready to enjoy all that Broward County has to offer. Whether you are just visiting the beach, having an award-winning restaurant experience, or getting an early start to the holiday season at the Holiday Fantasy Lights at Tradewinds Park you can enjoy all the different events throughout our community. So put away your umbrella and get out the sunscreen and beach umbrella.
In October, Broward County hosted the 10th annual Florida International Trade and Cultural Expo. This event focused on Artificial Intelligence and Global Procurement. The event attracted over 2000 attendees, and they were from 70 countries around the world and right here in Broward County. FITCE provides connections and growth opportunities for attendees and exhibitors alike. For more information, connect with Broward.org/oesbd to find out how Broward County can help your business grow.
Looking for a boat or just want to spend a great day with the family as you daydream about a yacht? The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show began on October 29th and goes through November 2nd at the Broward County Convention Center. It is a showcase that is known all over the world but takes place right in our back yard! The boat show provides a $1.79 billion impact, over 1300 boats on display and has well over 100,000 attendees. Make sure to be there and experience this annual event that is a centerpiece for the marine industry!
Let’s come together on November 11th as we celebrate our country’s veterans. Take some time to honor those who serve and continue to serve our communities. Also, get involved with many of the veteran-related groups throughout our community. If you have a business, participate in the Paychecks for Patriots Job Fair in Tamarac hosted by Career Source Broward on November 7th. Broward County Parks will also be providing free admission on November 9th for all veterans! These men and women are the backbone of our community, and we owe them a debt of gratitude for their service.
Finally, whether you are flying out of FLL for turkey dinner, hitting the road to Grandma’s house or burning a few calories with me at the Tamarac Turkey Trot, from my family to yours we wish you a great Thanksgiving. Please donate to one of the many organizations that make Thanksgiving possible for those less fortunate. As we begin the holiday season our community comes together in support of each other. Enjoy the many upcoming holiday events throughout District 3 this holiday season!
