Dear Olivia Bar & Kitchen will host a community fundraiser on Monday, Jan. 26, to support the Parkland 17 Memorial Foundation, donating 20% of sales from dine-in and takeout orders throughout the day.
The fundraiser will run from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Dear Olivia, located at 7805 N. University Drive. To participate, customers must mention “Parkland 17” to their server when dining in or while picking up their order.
“Dear Olivia was built on the idea of being part of the Parkland community, not just serving it, and the way this town has welcomed us has been incredibly meaningful,” said Paul Greenberg, co-owner of Dear Olivia. “Partnering with Parkland 17 is an important way for us to give back locally, support a cause so close to home, and open our doors as a place for the community to come together.”
The Parkland 17 Memorial Foundation is a 501(c)(3) Florida not-for-profit organization established to build the official public memorial honoring the 17 victims of the Feb. 14, 2018, mass shooting in Parkland: Alyssa Alhadeff, Scott Beigel, Martin Duque Anguiano Jr., Nicholas Dworet, Aaron Feis, Jaime Guttenberg, Chris Hixon, Luke Hoyer, Cara Loughran, Gina Montalto, Joaquin Oliver, Alaina Petty, Meadow Pollack, Helena Ramsay, Alex Schachter, Carmen Schentrup and Peter Wang.
