Marjory Stoneman Douglas’ Gaby Caro took home first place in the State Championship on Saturday in Kissimmee.
A year after making it to the final, Caro got her revenge, winning four matches. She pinned her opponent three times and then won by 8-4 in the final. She finished the season unbeaten with a 24-0 and won a District and Regional Championship earlier this year.
MSD also had a pair of wrestlers from the boys team compete after qualifying for States. Rocco Duygulu and David Leiva eachbadvanced one round with a win.
