The Rotary Club of Coral Springs-Parkland is partnering with Jacob’s Shoes for a donation drive.
The event is held on its annual Day of Service on Saturday, January 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Pine Trails Park Amphitheater.
The club is collecting old bikes, new pajamas, socks, and underwear to support various initiatives. Donations will benefit distressed children through Family Central, an organization dedicated to assisting needy families.
Bicycles collected will be refurbished and sent to a Rotary Club in South Africa, where they will provide much-needed mobility to rural communities.
Additionally, attendees can help support In Jacob’s Shoes by donating footwear, with volunteers on-site cleaning and preparing the shoes for redistribution to those in need.
Since its inception in 2009, In Jacob’s Shoes has significantly impacted the South Florida community by providing over 192,000 pairs of shoes and over 10,000 backpacks filled with school supplies to children and families in need.
