Wylder and Bianca {Broward County Animal Care}
Two pets at Broward County Animal Care are hoping to find loving families, including a playful dog who has spent nearly three months at the shelter and a friendly cat whose owner was hospitalized.
Wylder, a 4-year-old Boxer mix, was found as a stray in early August and has been waiting for a permanent home ever since.
Weighing 60 pounds, Wylder is described as gentle, friendly and affectionate. He enjoys playing, exploring and making new friends but is equally happy curling up beside his favorite people for some quiet time.
Shelter staff say Wylder’s playful personality and love of snuggling make him a good candidate for someone seeking a loyal companion. With the holidays approaching, they hope he will soon have a family of his own.
Wylder is neutered, and his animal identification number is A2479444.
Bianca, a 1-year-old domestic shorthair cat, arrived at the shelter in October after her owner was hospitalized.
Weighing just 9 pounds, Bianca is described as a sweet, sociable cat who enjoys attention, toys and treats.
She also likes to communicate with people and appreciates being petted. Shelter staff say her friendly personality could make her a good fit for many types of households.
Bianca is spayed, and her animal identification number is A2481482.
Both pets are available for adoption at Broward County Animal Care, 2400 SW 42nd St. in Fort Lauderdale.
The shelter is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
All adopted pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Adopters pay only $25 for the required Broward County registration tag.
