Get ready for a magical movie night under the stars as the City of Parkland presents “Lightyear” at its latest Movies in the Park event.

On Friday, June 23, at 8:15 p.m., the City of Parkland invites families and friends to gather at the Pine Trails Park Amphitheatre located at 10561 Trails End for this month’s Movies in the Park event – an outdoor celebration of cinema featuring an 18-foot inflatable movie screen.

Disney Pixar’s “Lightyear,” the featured movie for this event, explores the definitive origin story of Buzz Lightyear (voiced by Chris Evans), the hero who inspired the toy.

The family-friendly film follows the legendary space ranger on an intergalactic adventure alongside ambitious recruits Izzy, Mo, and Darby and his robot companion Sox.

To enhance the movie-going experience, the city will provide popcorn for attendees; however, supplies and food are limited, so attendees are encouraged to arrive early to receive their share.

Additionally, moviegoers are encouraged to bring their own chairs, seats, blankets, and pillows to remain comfortable under the stars.
