The Broward County Sheriff’s Office in Parkland responded to various incidents between January 27 and February 2, 2026
Incidents
• Burglary — Construction Site
Location: 8400 Nob Hill Rd.
Date/Time: Overnight Jan. 26–27
Two unknown males cut a chain-link fence and entered a construction site using a white box truck. No property was reported stolen at the time of the report. Investigation continues.
• Information Report — Verbal Remark
Date/Time: Jan. 27, 5:00–5:15 p.m.
A resident reported overhearing a man make a comment about needing “bigger guns” while entering a neighborhood. Deputies determined no crime occurred, and the comment was part of a private conversation.
• Domestic Incident — Civil Matter
Date/Time: Jan. 28, 1:19 p.m.
A resident requested information regarding legal options to remove an ex-spouse from his home. No crime occurred.
• Information Report — Road Incident
Location: Holmberg Road
Date/Time: Jan. 28
A driver reported that an unknown man had thrown coins at her vehicle. No damage occurred; the report was documented at the victim’s request.
• Vehicle Burglary / Vehicle Theft
Date/Time: Jan. 29, around 5:56 a.m.
A suspect burglarized two vehicles at a residence after finding a key fob left inside one. One vehicle was briefly stolen and later abandoned at a nearby home. Surveillance video exists.
• Attempted Vehicle Burglary
Date Reported: Jan. 30
Vehicles were targeted, but nothing was taken. Surveillance footage was obtained.
• Battery
Date/Time: Incident occurred Jan. 20; reported Jan. 30
A juvenile allegedly attacked his uncle following an argument, grabbing him by the neck and punching him multiple times. Charges were filed.
• Property Damage
Date/Time: Jan. 30, 4:30 p.m.
A residential security gate closed onto a vehicle, causing minor damage.
• Narcotics / DUI Arrest Incident
Location: Pine Trails Park, 10555 Trails End
Date/Time: Jan. 31, 2:40 a.m.
Deputies encountered a vehicle inside the closed park and observed narcotics in plain view. One occupant was arrested on narcotics charges, and the driver was arrested for DUI.
• Information Report — Suspicious Observation
Date/Time: Jan. 31
A resident reported seeing unexplained white spots on her roof via satellite imagery. Incident documented.
• Domestic Disturbance — Property Dispute
Date: Jan. 31
A dispute occurred when a former partner allegedly took a suitcase containing personal items during a property exchange. The victim indicated he may pursue charges.
• Domestic Disturbance — No Crime
Date/Time: Jan. 31
Officers responded to a verbal disturbance involving a juvenile behavioral episode. Situation resolved before arrival; no crime occurred.
• Death Investigation
Date: Feb. 1
An elderly hospice patient was found deceased in bed. No suspicious circumstances were observed.
• Baker Act
Date/Time: Feb. 1, 5:47 p.m.
A woman was transported to a hospital under the Baker Act after making statements about harming herself following a family dispute.

Charge: Possession of a controlled substance without a prescription
