Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes that occurred in Parkland through May 11.
Battery
6000 block of NW 100th Way
On May 7, an 18-year-old female was jogging in the area of Pine Island Rd and Holmberg Rd when an unknown white male riding a black bicycle unlawfully touched her arm.
Domestic Disturbance
7900 block of NW 109th Ln – Heron Bay
Between May 9 and 10, a woman made unsubstantiated allegations of domestic battery. Fire Rescue transported the woman to Coral Springs Medical Center for further treatment.
Found Property
8095 University Dr. – Publix
Between Marcy 28, and May 5, BSO responded to Publix and met with the customer service manager about a delayed report of found property.
Information
11100 block of Watercrest Cir. – Watercrest
On May 8, There was a civil issue over unpaid furniture.
7500 Holmberg Rd.
On May 8, report of a blown FPL electrical transformer. Coral Springs Parkland Fire Truck #42 was already on scene extinguishing small flames on the grassy area created by sparks that came down from the transformer. FPL would respond at a later time to repair the blown transformer.
8095 University Dr. – Publix
On May 8, a vehicle was damaged in Publix’s parking lot. Unknown if damaged was caused by a vehicle or another means.
