Parkland Dash {City of Parkland}
Runners and walkers can choose their distance at the Parkland Dash on Sunday, Oct. 11, at Pine Trails Park, 10555 Trails End.
The event offers a 5K, a 5-mile run and a 1-mile run or walk. The 5K and 5-mile races begin at 7 a.m., followed by the 1-mile event at 7:05 a.m.
Each registration helps support Tomorrow’s Rainbow, which provides free grief support groups and trauma-focused therapy involving horses for children, teens, and families experiencing loss or trauma. Registered participants will receive a T-shirt and finisher medal while supplies last. Awards will go to the top three overall male and female finishers in the 5K and 5-mile races.
Registration is available through RunSignup. Through Oct. 10, the race fee is $40 for the 5K or 5-mile run and $20 for the 1-mile event, plus processing fees. The city lists 11:59 p.m. Oct. 10 as the advance registration deadline.
