The Parkland Flag Football League has officially opened registration for its Fall 2024 season.
According to the league’s President, Todd Link, within just two weeks of opening registrations, the league has already seen an impressive signup of over 940 kids, approaching its capacity of 1,200 participants for boys and girls from kindergarten to high school seniors.
One update has come for the youngest female athletes this season, with the reformation of the two youngest girls’ divisions, accommodating space for 6-year-old girls, who previously had to play in older age groups or co-ed divisions.
The Parkland Flag Football League supports local charities and initiatives, including three Marjory Stoneman Douglas charities—Make Our Schools Safe, Safe Schools for Alex, the Parkland 17 Memorial, and Not My Daughter. The league also celebrates the dedication of its coaches and referees with appreciation weeks.
The season will commence on August 19, 2024, with player evaluations on August 17 and 18. The Super Bowl Extravaganza is set for November 8.
The league is committed to supporting its high school referees, offering work opportunities, and awarding four $1,000 college scholarships to deserving high school juniors and seniors.
Families and participants are encouraged to visit the league’s website at ParklandFlag.com for more information or to register. The league’s President, Todd Link, invites the community to take part in what promises to be a season filled with growth, competition, and fun for the whole family.
