Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes that occurred in Parkland through April 20.
Auto Theft
5810 Nw 60th Pl, Sable Pass
On April 20, after the keys left in the ignition of Black Ford F-150, the vehicle was stolen from the driveway at 2:31. Incident captured on video. No suspect information.
Found Property
9300 block of Solstice Cir. Watercrest
On April 17, a firearm was found in the community of Watercrest. The firearm was found by a lawn service worker. The firearm is Ruger LCR .38 spl, black and green in color and was loaded with (5) Hornady .38 spl hollow point rounds. A canvass of the surrounding homes was conducted with negative results.
8955 W Miralago Way. Miralago
On April 17, a yellow kitchen knife was found inside of the kids club room at the community clubhouse.

6800 block of Nw 75th Pl. Whittier Oaks
On April 16 and reported April 17, a complainant reported that an unknown person tried to make fraudulent charges in California using her Home Depot credit card number and Macy’s credit card number. The charges were not completed due to suspected fraud, and at this time no there is no monetary loss.
6000 block of Nw 81st Ave.
On April 17, an officer was dispatched in reference to a report of suicidal threats. When questioning owner if he wanted to kill himself, he advised he did not want to harm himself nor others, he is just going through a divorce right now and was just upset. At no point did owner show any signs of wanting to harm himself.
6500 block of Nw 57th Ln.
On April 17, caller was involved in some psychic religious activity and thought she might be involved in a fraud.
6650 University Dr. BSO Parkland
On April 18, old Ammo turned in for destruction.
10555 Trails End.. Trails End Park
On April 18, a father saw his 5-year-old daughter get struck by a 5-year-old boy. He became upset. There were different accounts of the incident. It appeared to have happened during playing.
Theft – Bicycle
6300 block of NW 110th Ave. Parkland Isles
On April 18, a mountain bike and a skateboard were stolen from victims front porch area during the early morning hours.
Theft – All Other
10555 Trails End. Trails End Park
On April 16, The juvenile victims put their phones down on the ground while playing basketball, while playing they observed a black male wearing a grey hoodie and black pants standing around near their phones. Upon finishing their basketball game they noticed their three iPhones phones were missing.
10955 Vista Terr. Cascata at Miralago
Between April 15 and April 17, unknown person(s) unlawfully removed a “Honeywell” digital thermostat from the second floor of a home under construction. Numerous unsupervised workers from different trades enter and exit the construction site everyday.
Property Damage
6650 University Dr.On April 17, damage to the right rear tail light was found on a BSO issued police unit #4587 (2015 Dodge Charger) while at the BSO Pompano Fleet Service for maintenance. The right rear tail light was cracked near the right edge. A new tail light was ordered by Pompano Fleet Service and installed later tis date.
Weapons Violations – All Others
11600 Loxahatchee Rd.
On April 20, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle during which an investigation was conducted. During the investigation the driver fled on foot. He was apprehended shortly after in the area. Both he and the passenger were arrested and booked into the Broward Jail.
