The Marjory Stoneman Douglas boy’s volleyball team earned their first win of the season in a thrilling five-set win over Coral Springs High School Thursday night.
The Eagles won the opening set 25-18 but then dropped the next two sets by a combined five points. MSD managed to keep the match going with a 25-23 fourth set win before winning in the fifth 15-12.
This was also the first win for new Head Coach Ali Denney. She comes to Parkland after playing beach volleyball at FIU after transferring from South Carolina.
The Eagles fell in their first game of the season to Charles W. Flanagan High School and only had the chance to play in six games in 2020, with their lone victory against Everglades High School.
