The Broward County Sheriff’s Office in Parkland responded to various incidents between September 22 and September 28, 2026.
Incidents
Theft
On Sept. 21, a resident reported that electricians hired to install fans took two pairs of Apple AirPods valued at $150. The theft was reported Sept. 22.
On Sept. 26, a caller reported that a poster valued at $60 was taken from a park during youth football. The person accused of taking it denied doing so. Deputies advised the caller of misdemeanor filing procedures.
Fraud
Between Sept. 24 and Sept. 25, a resident was tricked into purchasing gift cards by someone posing as the resident’s employer. The reported loss was $1,500.
Battery
On Sept. 22, a domestic battery was reported in Parkland. Additional details were redacted.
On Sept. 25, according to the incident listing, deputies responded to a physical altercation involving a juvenile and an adult. Deputies reported that the juvenile struck the adult and was arrested on a domestic battery charge. The juvenile was transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center.
Possible Elder Exploitation
On Sept. 25, deputies investigated concerns about possible elder exploitation involving a family dispute over a trust fund. The person contacted appeared well cared for, with all needs being met.
Property Damage
On Sept. 25, a vehicle’s windshield was damaged when a community gate arm malfunctioned following a power outage and lowered onto the vehicle.
Domestic Disturbances
On Sept. 22, deputies responded to a verbal domestic disturbance. No physical altercation or injuries were reported or observed. One person retrieved belongings and left without incident. No crime occurred.
On Sept. 25, deputies responded to a child welfare concern. The children were found safe and asleep inside a residence with adequate living conditions. Both parents were contacted, and no crime was identified.
On Sept. 26, deputies responded to ongoing verbal disagreements between two family members. No crime occurred, and one person was advised of the eviction process.
Information

On Sept. 23, deputies documented unwanted WhatsApp messages containing accusations and personal information, including a resident’s current address. No threats were made.
On Sept. 27, a person riding a three-wheel electric tricycle at Covered Bridge Park took a curve too sharply, lost balance and fell. The rider sustained minor injuries and was transported to West Boca by Coral Springs Fire Rescue.
Found Property
On Sept. 27, a live 9 mm round was found on the ground in a community pool area. No suspicious circumstances or related criminal activity were reported or observed. Deputies collected the round for destruction.
Arrests
Roberto Gabriel Narvaez, 60, was arrested Sept. 22 in Parkland on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge.
A juvenile was arrested on a domestic battery charge in the incident listed Sept. 25. The report did not provide a name or age.
