Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through April 12, 2021.
Assisting Other Agency
10700 Trails End – Park Trails Elementary
On April 7, a staff member was feeling dizzy. Coral Springs/Parkland Fire Rescue #97 arrived, stabilized the patient, and subsequently transported her to Coral Springs Medical Center for further evaluation as a precaution.
Battery
5901 Pine Island Rd – Marjory Stoneman Douglas
On April 8, the school administration advised that two students were involved in an altercation. The primary aggressor was located and given a juvenile citation, and the suspect student was released to her parent. The victim did not require EMS transportation.
Undisclosed Address
On April 6, a 46-year-old female told BSO she had a verbal altercation with her husband where he grabbed her by the left arm to make her leave their shared bedroom, leaving bruises on her arm. The husband was arrested for domestic violence.
Criminal Mischief
5900 block of NW 74th Ter – Pine Tree Estates
On April 9, someone tampered with the rear sliding glass door on a house under construction (unsecured property). The door frame had minor dents and scratches. Est damage amount was $200.
Information
10450 Miralago Dr – Miralago
On April 8, a Broward County Public School Bus was entering Miralago when the gate arm had a technical malfunction and collided into the side/top of the bus. There was no damage observed to the school bus or the gate arm. Six children and one adult (driver) were on the school bus at the time. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
10555 Trails End – Pine Trails Park
On April 9, two juveniles got into an argument, where one girl threw water at another, as the other returned by throwing lemonade back. Both parents of the girls were on the scene and agreed to keep the girls apart.
7400 Parkside Dr – Riverglades Elementary
On April 12, a juvenile had a nosebleed on campus. Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Rescue responded to the school clinic. The parent declined further treatment, and the student returned to class.
5700 block of NW 72nd Way – Pine Tree Estates
On December 30, 2020, and reported on April 11, 2021, the reporting person alleged on she was attempting to wire funds to a creditor in which she had an outstanding balance. During the transfer, the funds went to another company, at which time she has still not been able to retrieve those funds from her bank nor the company.
Lost Property
7501 S Cypresshead Dr – Cypress Head
Between April 3 and April 6, a flower delivery person left their FL Driver’s License at the front security gate at the Cypress Head community. Security tried for three days to make contact with this person with no success. DL placed into property.
Threats/Intimidation
8095 University Dr – Publix
On April 11, the reporting person was walking into the supermarket and overheard one juvenile suspect making non-direct threats. The reporting person advised there were three juveniles together when one of them made the threat. Deputies canvassed the area for the Juvenile, which met with negative results.
Arrests
A 52-year-old male was arrested on charges of Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Viol at 7865 Nw 63rd Way, Parkland.
