Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through May 31, 2021.
Auto Theft
Waterway Circle
On May 26, the victim alleged an unknown person stole his 2021 Dodge Rebel truck in his driveway.
NW 66th Way
On May 26, four unknown male suspects stole the victim’s unlocked 2016 Jeep Cherokee from the residence’s driveway. The keys were left in the vehicle at the time of theft. Coconut Creek Police recovered the vehicle running and unoccupied in Coconut Creek.
Burglary Conveyance
NW 66th Ave
On May 26, two males in their 20’s wearing hoodies and masks stole a Smith & Wesson Bodyguard handgun valued at $300 from an unlocked Dodge Ram. Nothing was taken from the second vehicle, a 2007 Honda, which was ransacked.
Ranch Road
On May 30, the victim stated unknown suspects entered their vehicle by breaking the passenger front window and removing personal property consisting of two wallets.
66th Ave
On May 26, the victim reported an unknown person entered his unlocked 2018 Hyundai Sonoma where they stole a credit card.
Domestic Disturbance
NW 74th Terr
On May 28, the victim shared out-of-state harassing voicemail messages. They were given instructions on how to obtain a protection order.
Information
5800 Loxahatchee Road
On May 31, a vehicle was towed due to it being left blocking the sidewalk with the keys in the ignition. BSO contacted the registered owner; however, he added he sold the vehicle without providing any further information.
Theft
NW 84th Ave
On May 28, the victim advised that the suspect made unauthorized charges on his company credit card throughout Broward County.
Arrests
Elson, Tresha Elizabeth, 41, was arrested on DUI charges, 1st offense at 10999 Nob Hill Road/Heron Bay Blvd on May 29.
