Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes that occurred in Parkland through July 13.
Criminal Mischief
10700 block of Vista Terr – Cascata at MiraLago
On July 9, a call was made in reference to a delayed vandalism incident in which an unknown subject damaged the victim’s landscape lights and a shrub.
Domestic Disturbance
10200 block of NW 63rd Dr – Meadow Run
On July 7, a husband reported that he and his wife were involved in a verbal altercation regarding their two-year-old child. The couple struggled for possession of the child’s pajamas but no physical contact occurred and they were calm and remained on the scene.
7000 block of Dover Ct – Cypress Head
On July 11, Deputy Adams responded to the location in reference to a female being disorderly toward her grandfather. The deputy spoke to the female, grandfather, and brother of the female. The female was upset at her grandfather and wanted him to just give her space and privacy. The grandfather stated that he thought she may be back on drugs and wanted her to just leave his house. The female left on her own free will and the grandfather was given suggestions on how to evict his granddaughter from his residence.
Fraud
10700 block of Estuary Dr. – Cascata at MiraLago
Occurring from May 27 and June 2, BSO Spoke to the victim via the phone who has an online watch company. Two Rolex watches were purchased totaling $32,000 and were delivered to Canada, via FedEx and were picked up. A week later, the credit card company deducted the money from his company due to fraud.

12000 block of N Baypoint Cir – Parkland Bay
On July 9, BSO responded to the construction site in reference to a contractor cutting a gas line. Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Rescue arrived and the roadway was shut down until Teco Gas responded and repaired the leak without incident.
6650 University Dr – BSO District
On July 10, a child custody exchange occurred at the Parkland District office lobby, where the child refused to go with her father, as part of a custodial agreement.
Robbery
6989 N State Road 7/Hillsboro Blvd
On July 7, the victim advised her cellphone was removed from her backpack without her permission or authority by her ex-boyfriend.
Theft
12400 block of S Parkland Bay Tr – Parkland Bay
On July 9, BSO was called in reference to a theft of a Ring Doorbell from a home under construction. No video in use, subject unknown according to the construction manager.
