This is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through May 27, 2024, compiled through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents.
Information
Information was reported on 05/21/2024. The property owner wanted to report two females, around 14-16 years of age, walked onto their property to pet the farm animals they have in the back yard.
Information was reported on 05/27/2024. Two friends entered into a verbal agreement over a financial opportunity, and one of the friends has not made a return on his investment.
Criminal Mischief
A victim of Criminal Mischief was reported on 05/21/2024. The victim advised her fence was damaged at an unknown time.
Battery
A victim of Battery was reported on 05/22/2024. A physical altercation ensued when the reporting person/victim pulled her hair and punched her arm when she refused to be intimate with him.
Lost Property
West Glades Middle School was the victim of lost property on 05/22/2024. A West Glades Middle School Tech Support Specialist reported a missing laptop.
Shooting
A victim of Shooting / Unlawful Discharge was reported on 05/26/2024. An adult female reported an unknown suspect shot a projectile through her front window into the residence, which was occupied.
Burglary
A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 05/26/2024. An unknown male attempted to open the driver-side door of the victim’s BMW and then fled the area in a red Honda CRV.
Battery
A victim of Battery was reported on 05/27/2024. The subject arrived at his residence allegedly impaired and combative with his parents. The subject had a verbal altercation with his parents and then became physical with his father.
Arrests
Hammad, Omar Ahmad, 38, was arrested on a charge of Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence on 05/22/2024.
Dolce, Kerline, 42, was arrested on 05/22/2024 on a charge of Larceny—grand Theft of 750 less than 5k Dollars.
Lequerique, Justin Ty, 34, was arrested on a charge of Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence on 05/27/2024.
