Broward County Public Schools celebrates the father-child bond with “Dads Take Your Child to School Day,” and Parkland fathers are encouraged to participate.
Held on Friday, September 27, 2024, the district encourages fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, uncles, brothers, foster fathers, and other male role models to be involved in their child’s education.
“This initiative underscores the significant impact dads can have when involved in their children’s education,” said BCPS Superintendent Dr. Howard Hepburn. “As a lifelong educator, I have witnessed firsthand the positive influence and crucial role fathers play in shaping their children’s lives and futures.”
Research shows students perform better academically, have fewer discipline problems, and become more responsible adults when fathers and male role models actively participate in their education.
