The first event of the season, Fall Back Into Mah Jongg, is set for Sunday, Oct. 6, inviting players to gather for an afternoon of games, camaraderie, and community giving.
Hosted by Crak Your Bags, the event will feature the classic tile game while also supporting a local cause. A 50/50 raffle will benefit the Parkland 17 Memorial Foundation, which honors the 17 lives lost on February 14, 2018, at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. In addition, organizers have pledged to donate to the foundation.
Held on Monday, October 6, from 7:00 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Family Bagels located at 5906 Coral Ridge Drive in Coral Springs. The fee is $30 per person, which includes dessert and a drink.
“At each of our local Mah Jongg events, we make it a priority to include a ‘give back’ component,” co-owner Jill Fox said. “This time, we are proud to support the Parkland 17 Memorial Foundation, which honors the 17 lives tragically taken on February 14, 2018.”
