Former Marjory Stoneman Douglas superstar Coby Mayo continues to push toward making it to the big leagues, officially ranking in the top 100 of the 2023 prospect rankings.

The 2020 graduate of MSD, Mayo officially ranked 99th overall and was previously selected in the fourth round of the MLB Draft.

After hitting 13 home runs and scoring 61 runs in high school, Mayo has worked his way up through the Baltimore Orioles farm system. He is in his first full season in Double-A and already has eight home runs and 26 RBIs. Mayo now has 36 homers in his minor league career and 135 RBIs.

He is currently the Orioles’ eighth-best prospect on the team. Despite being projected to be called up in 2024, Mayo is expected to be a part of a young Baltimore team that ranks third in the American League in wins.
