State Rep Christine Hunschofsky has teamed up with local food writer Dan I Cook to embark on a District 95 Food Tour starting with BRGR Stop in Coconut Creek.
The tour takes place in Coral Springs, Parkland, Coconut Creek, and Margate and will showcase various restaurants in the area.
Cook, who is known for his love of local cuisine, was approached by Hunschofsky to co-host the event. Despite their political differences, the two share a passion for supporting local businesses and were eager to collaborate on this culinary adventure.
Their mission is simple: to sample different restaurants and highlight their unique dishes. While Cook will provide a brief synopsis of their experience, the goal is not to provide a full restaurant review but rather to give readers a taste of the local dining scene.
To assist in their efforts, Talk Media will be pre-posting the schedule of where and when they will be visiting each restaurant. This will give interested parties the opportunity to meet up with the hosts and sample the food for themselves.
BRGR Stop is located at 4301 Coconut Creek Parkway. Cook has been told that their Potato Skins are superior to those at Lefty’s Tavern and Grille in Coral Springs and is excited to put that claim to the test.
If you want to join them and support this local business, mark your calendars for Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 4:00 pm.
In addition, Cook and Hunschofsky welcome suggestions from the community on other local restaurants to visit in the district. So, if you have a favorite spot that you think they should try, be sure to let them know.
Cook says Stay Hungry and #SupportLocal.
