Local restaurants are doing their part in helping Marjory Stoneman Douglas victims and the families by holding fundraisers this week.
Cook & The Cork Restaurant
On Sunday March 4th, award-winning restaurant The Cook and The Cork is donating 100 percent of their proceeds from their brunch to MSD victims.
Many of their partners will be contributing: Shula’s will be donating their famous Shula Burgers and steaks, Halperns will be donating seafood, Tents ‘n Events will be donating the tent and tables for outside seating and Rey Moré, a local musician, will be performing throughout the day.
The brunch is from 10:30 a.m. – 4 p.m, The cost is $25 pp. Drinks are not included, Parkland Chef Catering will be supplying the Bloody Mary’s, mimosas and margaritas. All of their employees will be volunteering their time. Call 954-227-2665 for reservations. They will also have tables set aside for walk-ins, and plenty of outdoor seating.

Rise Biscuits Donuts – Coral Springs
Rise Biscuits Donuts is donating 10 percent of all lunch sales this week February 26 – March 4 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. to the Stoneman Douglas PTA. Rise is located at The Walk at 2764 N University Dr, Coral Springs.
4 Rivers Smokehouse
Breaking from its “closed on Sunday” policy, the Coral Springs 4 Rivers Smokehouse, will serve its award-winning barbeque from noon to 4 p.m. on March 4 with 100 percent of the proceeds being donated to families who lost loved ones during the tragic events at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Feb. 14.
The Smokehouse will offer its regular dine-in menu on March 4 for walk-in guests only, and will also debut the all-new “Soaring Eagle” sandwich. Named in honor of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School’s mascot, the sandwich features grilled chicken, bacon, provolone, lettuce, tomato, and Alabama white sauce. The “Soaring Eagle” will be available throughout March, and a portion of the proceeds from each sandwich purchased will also be donated to the victims’ families.

Chili’s Restaurant
On Tuesday, February 27, Coral Springs Chili’s Restaurant will be donating 20 percent of all proceeds to the official Broward Education Foundation GoFundMe. The event will take place all day from 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.
They are located at 1650 n university drive, Coral Springs.
Nothing Bundt Cakes
When you buy a “God Bless” or “Warmest Sympathy” decorated cake, they will make a $10 donation to the Broward Education Foundation’s Stoneman Douglas Victims’ Fund.
On Tuesday, February 27, 20 percent of proceeds will be donated to the Broward Education Foundation’s Stoneman Douglas Victims’ Fund.
