Broward County Public Schools District 4 Chair Lori Alhadeff is set to connect with the community on the most pressing daily issues impacting their lives.
She’s hosting a “Connect with District 4” gathering on Monday, September 23, at Parkland Bagels & Deli, 7111 North State Road 7, from 10 a.m. to noon.
The “Connect with District 4” event has been planned to allow residents to meet with Alhadeff to discuss local education issues and share their thoughts on the district’s ongoing initiatives.
Alhadeff is a former health and physical education teacher in K-12th grade. She was a stay-at-home mom for fourteen years with three children. Her daughter Alyssa was tragically killed at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Shooting in February 2018.
She is also the president of the 501(c)(3) national non-profit organization Make Our Schools Safe, which is dedicated to protecting students and teachers at school.
