The community is invited to a night of fun and philanthropy at the “Fall Back into Mah Jongg” event, which is hosted by two Parkland women.
Held on Monday, September 23, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Family Bagels of Long Island, the evening promises a blend of lively Mah Jongg games, mingling, and light refreshments, all for a meaningful cause.
“It’s our first Mah Jongg event of the season, and I can’t wait for everyone to come together again,” said Jill Fox, who co-owns Crak Your Bags with Susan Bishop, another Parkland resident.
“It’s a great opportunity for moms to get out and enjoy a fun evening with friends while playing the game we all love and donating to a good cause.”
Fox, who lost her father to pancreatic cancer, chooses a charity to donate to at each community event. This time, the recipient is the Pancreatic Action Network. Next month’s pink challah bake benefits Sharsheret, an organization supporting Jewish people facing breast or ovarian cancer.
The price is $30 per person and includes light bites, dessert, and drinks.
In addition to the fun and camaraderie, the evening will feature a 50/50 raffle, with half of the proceeds benefitting the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN). This organization is dedicated to raising awareness, funding research, and supporting those affected by pancreatic cancer.
Whether you’re a novice or an experienced player, this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a classic game while supporting a greater mission.
