The toughest opponent this season for the Marjory Stoneman Douglas football team has been the weather, as the Eagles were able to get a half in before the game was postponed against Cypress Bay High School.
The Eagles were winning 20-10 with 51 seconds left in the third quarter before the lightning hit. Zion Meunch had two rushing touchdowns, while Anthony Diaz also had one.
MSD will wait to see when they can complete this game and return to action against Boyd H. Anderson High School on Friday, September 19, at 7 p.m. The Cobras are winless through their first three games and have been outscored 170-0. These teams met last year, with Boyd H. Anderson winning 41-7, one of their four victories.
