After getting off to a tough start, the Marjory Stoneman Douglas girls basketball team finally picked up their first win of the season on Friday.
The Eagles defeated Piper High School 37-22 with freshman Isabelle Feldman leading the way with 11 points, while her twin sister Madelyn Feldman had five. MSD followed that up with a 35-25 win over Boyd H. Anderson on Tuesday. The rest of the team consists of Julia Kaysar, Caitlyn Dalton, Brielle Shamel, Madelyn Feldman, Isabelle Feldman, Naomi Grissette, Ava Mangone, Ava Walker, Addison Zajkowski, Riley McCleary, Muskaan Amin, Maria Capra, and Stella Marvel.
Next, MSD will play on Thursday, Jan. 19, at 6:30 p.m. against Coral Springs High School. The Colts have been dominant this season and have a record of 13-4. They have won their last six games after making it to Regionals a season ago.
