The Marjory Stoneman Douglas Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps team participated in States on Saturday at George Jenkins High School in Lakeland.
Under the lead of Sargent First Class Ramon Arias, the Eagles placed second in the Unarmed Squad Female. They also come in third in the Armed Squad (Mixed Male) and the Unarmered Squad (Mixed Male).
“Just to qualify for this competition is huge,” said Sargent Arias. “Not only did we qualify, but we also came home with trophies this year. We are all very proud of all they accomplished this season.”
This year’s team includes Kristopher Krok, Anthony Aguilar, Ava Bonilla, Arthur Amador, Brianna Selby, Elijah Llompart, Taylor Weese, Paulina Machado, Jia Ying Chen, Maya Yenor, Hailey Dotti, Gabriela Matos, Kristina Marker, Nadia Chavez, Pretty Anu, Faisal Baig, Dominic Pellito, Anthony Pellito, Jesus Padauy, Brandon Foote, Gustavo Laboy, Aidan Miller, Elizabeth Velasco, Alysssia Streeter, and Gabriel Zapata.
