
Marjory Stoneman Douglas Recognize Seniors. {Lori Alhadeff}
Marjory Stoneman Douglas has yet another dominating team, with the boys and girls tennis teams singing and also hosting senior nights.
Girls
The girls’ team is 7-0 this year and has won 41 of 42 matches. Their only loss came against Cypress Bay High School, as the Eagles have shut out South Broward, Pompano Beach, Cardinal Gibbons, Charles W. Flanagan, Deerfield Beach, and Coral Springs High School.
They also recognized their lone senior, Savita Bagirathan, who won a State Championship last year and is undefeated this season, along with her younger sister, Dhea Bagirathan.
The Eagles also feature talented players: Anika Polapolly, Dylainey Risavy, Allison Kehler, Angella Rincones, Zara Risavy, Caroline Oliveira, Claire Schwartz, and Mylie Mayberry. Next, MSD will play Pine Crest School in their next match on April 3 at 4:30 p.m. The Panthers come into the match 9-0 and have gone 53-9 in matches this year.
Boys
The boys’ team is 6-1 this year, with dominating wins against South Broward, Pompano Beach, Cardinal Gibbons, Charles W Flanagan, Deerfield Beach, and Coral Springs High School.
Their team features Aidan Tau, Sidharra Ojha, Derek Kehler, Santiago Gonzales, Brady Cox, Daniel Platovsky, Dennis Oliveira Jr., Jeremy Winnick, Herman Stelling, Jared Russinoff, Coby Alhadeff, Ryan Tomek, and Diego Perero. The team has won 39 of its 49 matches this year and will face Pine Crest School in its next match on April 3 at 4:30 p.m. The Panthers are 7-1 this year and had their only loss against St. Andrew’s School.
