Parkland Mayor Rich Walker announced Monday that he is seeking re-election and will appear on the Nov. 3, 2026, ballot.
Walker said he is running for another term to continue focusing on public safety, infrastructure improvements, and preserving Parkland’s quality of life. He highlighted investments made during his tenure, including drainage projects, roadway upgrades, and park improvements at Pine Trails, Terramar, Covered Bridge, and along Loxahatchee Road.
According to the announcement, the city has also maintained its tax rate while investing in future projects, including the acquisition of the former Heron Bay golf course property, which is planned to become a community gathering space.
“Serving as Mayor of this amazing city has been one of the greatest honors of my life,” Walker said in a statement. “Together, we’ve kept our focus where it belongs — on safety and security, on a high level of service and infrastructure, and on preserving Parkland’s special quality of life.”
Walker, a former small business owner and father of five, has served as mayor for the past six years.
