The Parkland 2008 Red Girls soccer team came in first place in their division at the Sarasota Cup this weekend.
The girls settled for a 2-2 draw against PSL Hurricanes but beat Navarre NUFC 2-1 on Saturday. They then beat Martin United 4-0 and then Navarre NUFC 2-0 in the final on Sunday.
The Red Girls received goals from Madysen Filsaime, Maddison Iglesias, Allison Ofstein, Elizabeth Garzon, Sophia Ruiz, and Sari Wilson.
In net, Alexa Raymond played terrific as the rest of the team consists of Elayna Garzon, Emma Rosenstein, Kylie Lum, Sophia Canizalez, Alaysia Tucker, Ashley Bean, Cameron Territo, Diana Doherty as they allowed only four goals all tournament under the lead of Head Coach Rodrigo Delgado.
