Parkland Buddy Sports has officially opened registration for its 2025 Flag Football season.
The upcoming Parkland Buddy Sports flag football season will once again welcome players with special needs and their volunteer Buddies to join the beloved community program that promotes inclusion, friendship, and fitness through team sports.
The activities kick off on Saturday, August 16, and run through October 11, with sessions held every Saturday at the designated fields. Volunteers are asked to arrive at 11:30 a.m., with players arriving at 11:45 a.m..Â
Games begin at noon and conclude at 1:00 p.m.. There will be no football session on September 1 due to the Labor Day weekend.
Parents or guardians of players with special needs are required to create a personal profile first, followed by a player profile. Once a profile is completed, all available sports, including flag football, will appear under the player’s account if registration is open.Â
Families will receive confirmation and a full schedule upon acceptance into the program. To ensure fairness and maximize participation, families are asked to maintain an attendance commitment of at least 80%, and all parents or guardians must remain at the field during sessions.
Volunteer registration is also open to middle and high school students as well as adults who wish to serve as Buddies. Each volunteer must provide their email address and create a profile before signing up for open sessions.Â
Volunteers must also commit to at least 80% attendance, ensuring consistency and meaningful bonds between players and Buddies throughout the season.
