The Parkland Chamber of Commerce will host a free town hall Tuesday, Sept. 29, to help residents learn about a proposed Florida property tax amendment before the November election.
The event begins at 6 p.m. at Congregation Kol Tikvah, 6750 University Drive. It is open to the public and will feature a nonpartisan panel discussion with state Rep. Christine Hunschofsky, Parkland Mayor Rich Walker and Broward County Property Appraiser Marty Kiar.
According to the chamber, the discussion is intended to help residents, homeowners and businesses understand the issue and make an informed decision at the ballot box.
