The City of Parkland is inviting residents to get outside and explore with a new round of “Clues in the Park,” a free scavenger hunt-style activity that encourages families and friends to visit local parks and solve weekly riddles.
Hosted by the city’s Parks and Recreation Department, the event begins Tuesday, July 8, and continues for three consecutive weeks. Each Tuesday, participants can visit the city’s website to find the week’s riddle, which requires visiting three different city parks to gather clues.
Participants may join the hunt at any time during the three weeks. Clues are posted throughout the event, allowing for flexible participation.
After solving all three weekly riddles, participants must email their answers to cluesinthepark@cityofparkland.org by the final deadline. Only complete submissions will be entered into a prize drawing, and only one entry is allowed per household.
The winner of the drawing will be selected on Friday July 31 and notified via email.
The city reminds residents not to remove or tamper with any posted questions or signs. Anyone requiring accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act should contact the ADA Coordinator at 954-757-4134 at least 48 hours before participating.
