The Broward County Sheriff’s Office in Parkland responded to various incidents between March 31 and April 6, 2026.
Incidents
Missing Person / Baker Act
A juvenile female who failed to return home after school on March 30 was later located in Coral Springs. She was unharmed and subsequently detained under the Baker Act for evaluation.
Information Report – Social Media Threat
A caller reported an unknown individual on TikTok making threats of self-harm. No identifying information or location was available.
Animal Bite
Two American Bulldogs fought in a backyard, leaving one with minor neck injuries. The dog was treated by a veterinarian.
Attempted Burglary to Conveyance
A suspect was seen pulling on car door handles in a parking lot. The individual was positively identified by a witness and taken into custody.
Criminal Mischief (2 Incidents)
Unknown individuals tipped over a porta-potty at a construction site on two separate dates. Surveillance footage showed two suspects on bicycles.
Battery – Assisted Living Facility
A woman reported that her stepmother intentionally ran over her foot with a wheelchair during a dispute. Minor redness was observed; the victim declined prosecution.
Suspicious Incident – Former Employee
Employees at a car wash reported receiving text messages from a former employee attempting to contact them. No threats were made, but the incident was documented due to prior concerns.
Fraud – Contractor Dispute
Victims reported that a contractor failed to complete promised work, resulting in an estimated loss of $15,500.
Domestic Disturbance (Non-Crime)
A verbal argument between a husband and wife escalated after alcohol use. No physical violence occurred.
Baker Act Incident
A woman was transported for evaluation after attempting self-harm by ingesting pills and alcohol following a domestic issue.
Stalking / Harassing Calls
A victim reported receiving repeated explicit phone calls from an unknown male using different numbers.
Civil Matter – Vehicle Dispute
A woman attempted to report her vehicle stolen after her husband sold it. Deputies advised it was a civil matter involving marital assets.
Suspicious Incident – Open Garage
Deputies checked a home after a report of an open garage door. No signs of forced entry or theft were found.
Retail Theft – BJ’s Wholesale Club
Loss prevention reported a suspect stole merchandise from the electronics section on two occasions, totaling $763.
Domestic Disturbance (Non-Crime)
A verbal dispute between a couple over vehicle keys resulted in no physical altercation.
Criminal Mischief – Vandalism
An abandoned golf course facility was vandalized with spray paint.
Drug / Narcotics Offense – Pine Trails Park
Deputies located cannabis (under 20 grams) and open alcohol containers in a vehicle. The driver received a civil citation.
Baker Act Incident
A woman was transported for evaluation after attempting self-harm by consuming alcohol.
Stalking Incident – Terramar Park Area
A suspect followed a victim for approximately one hour, shouting explicit remarks. The victim later identified the suspect, who was arrested.
Domestic Disturbance (Non-Crime)
A parent reported a verbal dispute with her teenage daughter involving syringes purchased online.
Information Report – HOA Dispute
A verbal argument between neighbors over HOA rules was documented. No crime occurred.
Property Damage
Damage to landscaping was reported at Covered Bridge Park.
Theft – License Plate
An unknown suspect removed a license plate from a pickup truck parked in a driveway.
Arrests
A 56-year-old woman was arrested and charged with domestic battery after striking her husband with a hanger, causing minor injuries.
A 21-year-old man was arrested and charged with stalking after repeatedly following and harassing a victim near Terramar Park.
