Attempted Fraud
On June 4, a resident reported an attempted fraud involving their Bank of America account. The incident occurred in Parkland and was documented the following day.
Information Report — Firearm Secured
On June 5, around 11:45 p.m., a man experiencing a medical episode was transported to West Boca Medical Center. During an inventory of his vehicle prior to towing, officers discovered a Glock .40-caliber handgun. The firearm was entered into evidence for safekeeping.
Death Investigation
A natural death was reported on June 6 in Parkland. Coral Springs/Parkland Fire Rescue pronounced the victim deceased at 1:39 p.m.
Theft — iPhone Taken from Basketball Courts
A Parkland resident reported the theft of an iPhone 16 Pro Max on June 6. The victim’s son had left the phone on a bench between basketball courts at a clubhouse on June 5. Using “Find My iPhone,” the device was last pinged near NW 72nd Place and NW 112th Terrace before being turned off. Estimated loss: $1,200.
Juvenile Injury in Parkland Park
Deputies responded to a juvenile male who injured his wrist while attempting to jump a berm on his motorcycle in a grassy area of a Parkland park. He was transported to Broward Health Coral Springs for treatment on June 6.
Suspicious Incident — Trash Disposal
On June 6, deputies were dispatched to a possible burglary in progress. Surveillance footage revealed that an unknown male had parked in a neighbor’s driveway and disposed of a white trash bag in the neighbor’s trash bin. No burglary occurred.
Suspicious Incident — Unknown Item Removed
In the early morning hours of June 7, four light-skinned males entered a Parkland property through a pedestrian gate. Surveillance video captured them removing an unknown item. The suspects arrived and left in an unidentified vehicle. The homeowner is unsure what was taken.
