The Broward County Sheriff’s Office in Parkland responded to various incidents between June 23 and June 29, 2026.

Incidents

Domestic Disturbance
A misunderstanding involving an elderly woman with early dementia prompted police to respond after comments made at a doctor’s office raised concern. Deputies determined no crime had occurred and no physical or verbal altercation had taken place on June 23.

Fire
An electric scooter caught fire inside a garage in the 5700 block of Northwest 60th Place on June 23. The fire was extinguished before deputies arrived, and no structural damage was reported.

Information
A resident reported that a neighbor’s dog entered her property, barked at her and urinated on her lawn on June 24.

Information
Deputies documented a report involving two juveniles at a day camp after one child allegedly grabbed another by the neck during a game of Four Square. The incident was documented at the parent’s request on June 24.

Battery
Deputies arrested a man after investigating a domestic violence incident reported June 24. Investigators determined the suspect battered the victim and was also in violation of felony probation.

Retail Theft
An unidentified woman stole approximately $224 worth of merchandise from BJ’s Wholesale Club, 5901 W. Hillsboro Blvd., on June 24. The investigation remains ongoing.

Suspicious Incident
Deputies responded to a reported shooting on June 24 but found no evidence that gunfire had occurred. No injuries were reported, and the incident was classified as suspicious.

Property Damage
A malfunctioning lift gate at Parkland Fire Station, 6500 Parkside Drive, struck an ambulance while it was exiting the garage on June 25. The lift gate sustained minor damage, and no injuries were reported.

Theft
Two “No Dumping” signs owned by the City of Parkland were reported stolen from the area of 7600 Northwest 84th Ave. on June 25. The estimated loss was $221.

Battery
Deputies conducted a follow-up investigation into alleged domestic violence dating back to March 2025 after a victim provided a sworn statement on June 25.

Fraud/Theft
A Parkland resident reported paying a deposit through Zelle for hibachi catering services, but the suspect failed to provide the service or issue a refund. The reported loss was $225.

Information
Deputies initially responded to a missing person report on June 26. During the investigation, they learned the individual was believed to be returning home. The following day, the family was notified the person had died in a traffic crash, and deputies returned to provide support and resources.

Information
A woman suffered injuries after being thrown from her horse and then pinned beneath it on June 27. She was transported to Broward Health for treatment.

Domestic Disturbance
Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance on June 27 involving twin brothers. One brother had already left the scene, and the caller declined to provide additional information.

Battery
A man was arrested following a dating violence incident on June 28. Deputies said he physically battered the victim during an argument, causing visible injuries. The victim later declined to pursue charges and refused medical treatment.

Information
A property owner reported possible trespassing after a remediation contractor entered a townhouse to investigate a water leak on June 28. Deputies determined no trespassing had occurred.

Aggravated Assault
Deputies investigated a reported aggravated assault stemming from a verbal dispute during a welfare check in Pompano Beach. Although one person alleged a firearm was displayed, investigators could not substantiate the claim. No arrests were made.

Arrests

T’leik Adrian Carbajal, 24, was arrested on June 24 and charged with battery (second or subsequent domestic violence offense) and violation of felony probation.
