Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of incidents that occurred in Parkland through June 10.
Burglary Conveyance
8300 block of Ranch Rd
On June 4, a vehicle was burglarized, and a purse was stolen from the front passenger seat.
7271 N Sr 7. River Stone Shoppes
On June 6, BSO responded in reference to a delayed burglary of two vehicles: an Infinity Q60 and a Mitsubishi Outlander.
Criminal Mischief
2000 Loxahatchee Rd.
On June 4, an unknown suspect entered the enclosed curtilage of the property and broke the window on a Hyundai HL960 wheel loader. Approximately $1000 repair value. No video surveillance.
Fire
6918 NW 66th Way
On June 6, BSO responded to an electrical pole on fire.
Fraud
6000 block of NW 61st St.
On June 8, the victim sent $11,200.00 in two cashier checks by FedEx to an address in Michigan and sent another $900.00 by Western Union to Jamaica. The victim sent the money after being called at her residence by a subject impersonating a bank employee.
10600 block of NW 66th Ct. Fox Ridge
On June 7, reported June 8, Complainant advised that unknown person/s had his cellular phone number and switched to another carrier.
Drugs/Narcotics
7800 Parkside Dr.
On June 7, BSO observed a red Honda traveling at a high rate of speed. They conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle mentioned above. As they approached the vehicle, a strong smell of fresh cannabis was emanating from the vehicle. They made contact with the driver and issued a narcotics investigation, which yielded 4.5 grams of marijuana. The suspect was issued Notice to Appear.
5700 Holmberg Rd,
On June 7, BSO observed a brown Honda accord driving at a high rate of speed. They conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle above. As they approached the vehicle, a strong smell of burnt cannabis emanating from the vehicle. They made contact with the driver and initiated a narcotics investigation, which yielded 6.6 grams of suspect cannabis. The suspect was issued a citation for speeding and subsequently arrested for possession of marijuana.
Theft
7125 NW 63rd Way.
On June 3, and reported June 4, an unknown suspect stole equipment from Peluso’s construction site. The six pieces of equipment were valued at $1,900. Scene processed with neg results.
5901 Pine Island Rd. Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School
On June 4, a father reported his son’s bicycle was stolen from school while the student was taking a test.

On June 4, reported June 5, while working at MSD HS, BSO was approached by a student concerning a bicycle theft. The student informed him that on 06/04/2019, at approximately 7:30 am, he had left his silver specialized mountain bicycle in the school bike rack. Upon returning at around 1:00 pm, he discovered that his bicycle had been stolen.
Information
7600 N State Road 7. CVS
On June 5, BSO observed a suspicious vehicle sitting parked in the CVS parking lot after hours. The vehicle was a silver four-door Mercedes occupied by two juveniles. The driver had suspect cannabis
I6900 block of Ocala Ln. Cypresshead
On June 4, a resident requested a report about a threatening text message from her adult half brother, who has a long history of drug addiction.
6800 block of Lost Garden Ter.
On June 4, a man reported a cover of Comcast box and ATT box in front of his residence removed. No damage to the boxes.
7900 block of Nw 82nd Ter.
On June 6, BSO was called in reference to the resident’s ex-wife having her new boyfriend send the resident (what he felt were) threatening texts over the past several days.
7500 Loxahatchee Rd.
On June 7, BSO observed a white SUV traveling west on Loxahatchee Rd at a high rate of speed. The deputing paced the SUV going 60 mph from the Parkside drive to University drive. A traffic stop was performed, upon further investigation, a Broward Sheriff’s Office jacket was in plain view in the rear of the vehicle. A search was conducted, and it revealed a US Marshall’s badge in the front sunglasses holder. The driver was not a Law Enforcement officer.
9547 Vallen Ct. Four Seasons
On June 9, the alarm was activated at a model home in Four Seasons. Two adult subjects were contacted (male and female) who were admitted to view the model homes by the security officer at the gate. Subjects admitted to opening the door to the model home and activating an alarm. Model home inspected and found undisturbed. Subjects were advised to schedule viewing with the sales office
5800 block of Holmberg Rd.
On June 9, Mother wanted to have her child turned over to her by a child’s aunt. The child was turned over without incident.
10200 block of Lake Vista Ct.
On June 7, a resident reported to the Broward Sheriff’s Office Parkland District, to file a fraud report.
Lost Property
7621 N State Road 7
On June 4, the resident called the Broward Sheriff’s Office Parkland District to file a lost property report.
Suspicious Incident
6500 block of Abbey Rd.
On June 4, a suspicious person walked up to their door and took a picture of their lock.
