Fresh produce, baked goods and specialty foods will return to Parkland when the city’s Farmers’ Market opens its new season Sunday, Nov. 1.
The free event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Equestrian Center at Temple Park, 8350 Ranch Road.
Opening day will feature a public safety theme, bringing together local farmers, food vendors, artisans and small businesses.
Presented by Baptist Health, the market operates on the first and third Sundays of the month from November through April. Shoppers can browse fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers, breads and pastries, along with gourmet offerings such as jams, honey, dips, sauces, fresh pasta, cheese and pickles.
The season will include themed markets and seasonal activities. New this year, a Kidpreneur Marketplace on March 7 will spotlight entrepreneurs ages 8 to 16 selling art, baked goods, handmade items and other products.
