Parkland Mayor Christine Hunschofsky, along with six other women, are being honored by the Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida for being leaders in their industry and role models for girls.
The free event will include a panel discussion featuring the honorees who will discuss their leadership and commitment to their community, share their insights on business and current issues facing Broward County, and what impacted and contributed to their success.
The other honorees are Kirsten Charlson, Founder, and President, DNA Labs International, Inc.; Melanie Dickinson, President, and Publisher, South Florida Business Journal; Chief Rhoda Mae Kerr, City of Fort Lauderdale First Rescue; Susie Levan, Author and President of Bee Hive Publishing; Jennifer S. Love, Chief Security Officer and Senior Vice President, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd.; and Captain Renee Peterson, with the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.
Also, attendees will hear from local Girl Scouts and have the opportunity to bid on some great items in an online silent auction.
The event will be on Facebook LIVE and hosted on September 16 on the GSSEF Girl Scouts Lead the Way Facebook event page from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
