Household hazardous waste can no longer be dropped off at a permanent facility. Instead, Parkland residents are now invited to dispose of household hazardous waste at convenient locations throughout Broward County.
The City of Parkland now participates with Tamarac, Coconut Creek, Coral Springs, Fort Lauderdale, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Lauderdale Lakes, North Lauderdale, and Pompano Beach in their cooperative agreement allowing residents opportunities throughout the year to dispose of hazardous materials at special one-day events.
Residents must show proof of residency — which can be either a driver’s license or utility bill when driving up with hazardous materials.
