Parkland Weekly Crime Update April 14 1

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes that occurred in Parkland through April 14.

Aggravated Battery

8000 Block of NW 125th Terr. Sable Point Heron Bay
On April 14, Wife cut her husband’s right ring finger and middle finger with a knife causing two deep lacerations on the fingers. The couple live together with two minor children. Victim refused to give a taped statement, refused photographs to be taken of him on the scene and refused Fire Rescue to respond on audio. The wife was arrested for Aggravated Battery w/Deadly Weapon Domestic Violence and transported to jail.

Burglary Conveyance

11000 Block of Watercrest Cir. Watercrest
On April 12, victim called 911 and stated unknown subject entered his unlocked car during the night. Victim was not able to provide any suspect description or direction of travel.

Domestic Disturbance

10400 Block of S Barnsley Dr. Parkland Golf & Country Club
On April 9, officers responded to Parkland Golf And Country Club in reference to a delayed verbal domestic disturbance.

Information

6650 University Dr. Parkland District Office.
On April 10, officer responded in reference to a Civil Assist. Upon arrival person advised he wanted to turn in five firearms for destruction. The firearms were taken and TOT BSO Evidence in reference destruction.

8600 Block of Watercrest Cir. Watercrest
On April 10, an officer responded to the city of Parkland District Office in reference to a lost credit card with unfamiliar credit transactions attached to it. Victim refused prosecution.

Jessica Farbman Price

5901 Pine Island Rd. Marjory Stoneman Douglas
On April 11, a juvenile student had a seizure in a classroom and struck their head.

7300 Parkside Dr, Riverglades Elementary School
On April 11, an officer met with a parent in reference to an ongoing issue with her son and another student off campus.

7900 Parkside Dr
On April 11, two ceramic pots containing plastic skulls, plastic bones and other miscellaneous items were found in wooded area.

6300 Block Nw 61st Ave. Country Point Estates.
On April 11, a caller wanted to file a report due to her credit card being used in Miami.

Property Damage

6800 University Dr, Parkland, FL,
On April 12, a BSO vehicle 5265 Chevy Caprice received damage in the front bumper.

Theft – Retail / Shoplifting

7705 N Sr 7 Wawa
On April 15, an unidentified white male subject entered the west side delivery door then entered the storage cooler and began to stack three cases of Red Bull energy beverages on a trolley cart. An employee walked into cooler and confronted the subject. Subject left the items in the cooler then ran out of the west door and fled north on SR 7 in an unidentified silver Nissan Maxima or Altima (no tag attached) with a unidentified white female driver.

Theft – All Other

7000 Block of Nw 71st Mnr. Ternbridge
On April 11, victim/reporting person said suspect had access to residence and stole from jewelry box: a $12,000 woman’s yellow gold necklace with a 2k diamond pendant. No forced entry, no other items missing. Reported on April 13.
