The Basser’s Food and Wine Festival is back for its fifth year, promising another unforgettable Sunday afternoon filled with local flavor, good eats, good vibes, and some of the best and hardest-to-find wines in the world.
Hosted by Basser’s Fine Wine, located at 6240 Coral Ridge Drive, the festival has grown into one of Coral Springs’ premier culinary and cultural events.
Slated for Sunday, August 24, this year’s edition builds on its reputation with an impressive lineup: 175 wines, a craft beer station, live music, and food from 14 local restaurants — all included in the $115 ticket price.
“For someone who’s never been before, Basser’s Food and Wine Festival is a casual, fun, Sunday afternoon out,” said co-owner Emily Basser.
“We’ve got wines to try, craft beer to sample, great food, and even JM Lexus on-site showcasing some of their cars.”
For those who covet more VIP experiences, this year the festival has made available a limited-edition elevated experience featuring wines from Chappellet Vineyard in Napa Valley.
A new year of the festival means upgrading the lineup and offerings for guests. This year’s standout addition? A “Cult Wines” section, spotlighting rare small-production labels from top-tier family-owned wineries. “These are wines that make some of the best juice on earth,” Basser explained.
Featured producers set to appear at the Basser’s Food and Wine Festival include Ellman, Long Shadows, Venge, Perliss, and more. The event will also feature a global tasting tour with wines from Napa, Sonoma, Paso Robles, South America, Australia, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy.
Foodies can look forward to a variety of bites. From upscale Italian to savory steaks and Peruvian specialties courtesy of local favorites like Dear Olivia, Livelo, Eddie & Vinny’s, Casa D’Angelo, The Fish Joint, Moore Fire Grill, and The Art of Graze, to name a few.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive hungry and thirsty, and dressed comfortably. “The event is casual and parking is included with your ticket,” Basser added.
