Gaby Caro’s message after winning her third straight Regional Championship is simple, “the job’s not done.”
The senior won all her matches in Regionals by pin and is now 14-0 this year. She also won a District Title and is set to compete in the State Championship at Silver Spurs Arena starting February 29.
Hassini Battikuti and Ariana Balnc earned fifth place and missed qualifying for the state meet by one place. as the Eagles came in tenth out of 63 teams at the meet.
“We were the highest placing team in Broward and Gaby was one of the seven girls’ from Broward to qualify for the state championship meet,” Head Coach Ken Gendason said.
