The Parkland Basketball Club has opened registration for the 2024/2025 season to boost participation and ensure all aspiring young basketball players get their shot on the court.
The registration fee is $170 for those who sign up by Thursday, October 31.
The club accepts boys and girls in grades K-12 of all skill levels to participate in the program as long as their parents register before the cut-off date.
Individuals outside Parkland are also invited to join the club. During registration, they must purchase a Non-Resident Sports Membership, a pass that ensures young players from neighboring areas can be part of the basketball community.
Player evaluations for the upcoming season will be determined, and practice will begin in early December. Participants can expect up to two weekly practices, usually on Sunday afternoons and one weeknight.
The regular season and playoffs will run from January to March/April, with approximately two weekly games. The club follows the Broward County Schools calendar, which does not accommodate private school calendars, ensuring that school commitments don’t clash with basketball activities.
All practices and games will be held at Pine Trails Park and Terramar Park.
The Parkland Basketball Club is also looking for coaches for adults who wish to contribute. Anyone who registers as a head coach or an assistant coach must complete a background check through the city.
