Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School’s Drama Department is ready to captivate audiences with the Six: Teen Edition season opener.
This international musical brings history to life through a modern, pop-infused lens, showcasing the stories of Henry VIII’s six wives like never before.
Six: Teen Edition is a specially adapted version of Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss’s hit show, designed for teen performers and family audiences. Known for its catchy tunes and powerful lyrics, the musical reimagines the six queens as pop icons, each taking center stage to reclaim her narrative.
The show has become a global phenomenon, praised by critics, including The New York Times, which calls it “pure entertainment,” and The Evening Standard, which hails it as “the most uplifting new British musical.”
Sydney Lotz leads the cast as Catherine of Aragon, Zoe Schwartzberg as Catherine Parr, Alanis DeSouza as Catherine Howard, Maggie Starr as Jane Seymour, Ellie Rose as Anne Boleyn, and Adiah Ford as Anne of Cleves.
Eva Bogart, Brooklyn Bhim, Ella Valente, and Brynn Levy are the understudies. The show features a lineup of high-energy dance routines, stunning vocals, and empowering storytelling.
Performances will run from Thursday, November 14, to Saturday, November 16, at 7 p.m. Tickets are available online MSD DRAMA, and early purchases are encouraged to secure a seat for this season’s must-see production.
